Kuromon Market is the perfect place to get fresh perishable food items. Nippombashi Den Den Town is one of the biggest electronics quarters in Japan, on a par with Akihabara in Tokyo.
Abeno Market Park, Q’s Mall, a shopping center that opened in April, 2011, with about 250 shops, is conveniently connected directly to JR Tennoji Station. A major news item was that Shibuya 109 opened with 35 stores in one area of one floor.
Dotombori has many eating and drinking places with flashy neon signs and large billboards. Every restaurant is proud of its unique taste. Great entertainment can be had in Osaka at a variety of theaters?the Osaka Shochiku for kabuki performances, the National Bunraku Theater for bunraku (traditional puppet theater), and the Namba Grand Kagetsu Theater for owarai (comedy).
