Sapporo Beer GardenSapporo Beer is one of Japan’s leading beer brands. The Sapporo Beer Museum next to the garden introduces you to the history of Sapporo Beer. You can see the gigantic cauldron built in 1912 in the restaurant in the garden, where you can enjoy Hokkaido specialty “jingisukan” with beer.

Chitosetsuru Sake Museum“Chitosetsuru” is local sake of Sapporo. The museum is packed full of its sake making history. Sapporo Odori Beer GardenGo to a beer garden if you want to have great fun and drink beer in Sapporo! Every summer Japan’s largest beer garden is held at Odori Park for about one month! It has about 13 thousand seats and the beer garden is taking up half of the park, which is about 1.5 km long. You can enjoy dif.ferent kinds of beer in different sites from daytime, and it is fun to choose what you want to drink. Why not enjoy the refreshing summer in Sapporo along with the locals?

When Drinking in Hokkaido, Eat Saketoba!“Saketoba” is thin strips of salmon (caught in autumn) with skin that is washed in sea water and dried in sea breeze. It is tasty even to the skin! It is Hokkaido’s version of salmon jerky! You can get it easily in convenience stores and supermarkets, so why don’t you try some?
What Is Your “Shime” After Drinking?Generally, in Japan, “osake no shime” (food you want to eat after drinking) is ramen. However, in Sapporo, people have a culture of eating parfait as “shime”!
