ReleaseJune 4, 2018
We will introduce recommended places to visit in the Kansai area in summer to cool off and enjoy splendid views.
Sagano Romantic Train (Kyoto Prefecture)
Running along the Hozu River for about 7.3 km from Saga Torokko Station to Kameoka Torokko Station in Kyoto Prefecture, Sagano Romantic Train (torokko train) has cars without window glass, so you can feel the refreshing breeze on your whole body. It is recommended to take the train on the way up and take a boat coming back down (running through Mar. 1 to Dec. 29, the service may not be offered on some Wednesdays).
Osaka Duck Tour (Osaka Prefecture)
The tour offers fun experiences of both driving in the city and cruising on the river by an amphibious bus. As this bus has no window glass, you can take panoramic photos of Osaka Castle as well as the street views. The tour participants love the dynamic movement and exhilaration at the moment of splashing into the river.
Mount Maya (Hyogo Prefecture)
As part of the Rokko Mountain range, Mount Maya offers a panoramic view of the streets of Kobe as well as, if it is clear, Kansai International Airport. You can take a cable car and ropeway to get to the top. Enjoy an impressive night view while enjoying the cool air.
