Eat Ramen at Ogikubo!

Ogikubo is a quiet town in Suginami-ku, Tokyo, largely residential in character. It is also said to be a “sacred place” for ramen and there are many ramen noodle restaurants. ➀Misokko Hook

Just opened in October 2018, but this is already a restaurant well known for its 800 yen miso ramen. Its hot spicy miso ramen, at 850 yen, is extra delicious (You can have extra bean sprouts free).

➁Menya Masamichi

Its characteristic is the light flavored soup simmered slowly mainly with whole chicken, flavored vegetables, and etc. Shoyu ramen made with whole grain noodles with chicken chashu (BBQ pork), for 750 yen.

➂Neiroya

Famous for also offering kakigori (shaved ice with syrup topping) in addition to ramen. Setouchi Soy Sauce Ramen for 850 yen and kakigori, whose flavors change every day, for 1,000 yen. Lemon Ramen that shows up on the menu only in the winter is popular too.

➃Harukiya

A long-established store in Ogikubo that has a history of almost 70 years. They are not only sticklers for taste, but they also adjust the thickness of the noodles according to the weather and season. Wantanmen, which is 1,250 yen, is the most popular menu item.

Tokyo Polytechnic University Suginami Animation Museum

ogikubo This is the first facility in Japan that introduces anime in general, from the history of Japanese anime to its principles and creation process. You can actually try making a simple anime work.

Otaguro Park

A seven-minute walk from Ogikubo Station. The first Japanese stroll garden in Suginami-ku, built on the grounds of what was once the home of a famous music critic. It will be lit up in autumn and the tinted autumnal leaves reflected in the pond are beautiful. You can see a video taken by a drone!
