Weekly Column Kanda This and That 331

Column

ReleaseAugust 29, 2019

Thank you for coming back.
I really want to apologize you about not writing this weekly column last week. Really sorry. In fact, I caught a cold and had a fever. The reason why I became sick was that I slept in an air-conditioned room set at 27 degrees Celsius. I don’t like being an air-conditioned room, so I slept in a room with windows open (on the 4th floor) without a fan even on a really hot night. Then my husband told me I would soon suffer heatstroke. It was true that I sweat so much during sleep that I could squeeze sweat out of my pajamas. So, I thought I would give it a try to sleep in the air-conditioned room. It was a really bad idea. I woke up freezing, so I moved to a different room without air conditioning, but I couldn’t stop shaking. By the next morning, my temperature was gone up to 38.4 degrees Celsius. Oh, god… It was more than 1 week ago, but I still have a sore throat. As you get older, it takes much longer to recover from physical problems! I am planning to go to Kanda Engi-ichi Festival on 30th (Fri) (17:00-21:00), so I really want to completely recover and drink beer!
