SpotDejima

Nagasaki was the only port permitted to trade with foreign countries during the isolation period. The center of this trade was Dejima island - a man made island constructed in Nagasaki port. Surrounding Dejima, land was, over time, reclaimed and modernized in line with the times but today, the island is being restored to its original condition.
