COREDO Muromachi Terrace Vol.2
Magazine
On September 27, 2019, a commercial facility, “COREDO Muromachi Terrace” opened on the 1st basement floor, the 1st floor, and the 2nd floor of Nihombashi Muromachi Mitsui Tower.
Large rooftop space
“COREDO Muromachi Terrace” has 31 attractive tenants, including 2 with the first branch in Japan, 5 with the first branch in the Kanto area, and 10 with the first commercial stores, having a lot to offer to visitors.
As the members of att.JAPAN Editorial Department visited this newly-opened facility, this article reports our findings and experience at the facility.
The article which introduces “Eslite Spectrum Nihombashi” on the 2nd floor is available at: COREDO Muromachi Terrace Vol.1
The following section introduces the 1st floor, where we found a casual café dining room connected to the large rooftop space with a sense of openness and shops with a collection of items created by traditional techniques.
CLASSICS the Small Luxury
An established handkerchief store with a history of more than 130 years in Nihombashi Ningyocho.
These cute animal motifs on embroidered handkerchiefs should make you smile.
Tsuchiya Kaban
A selection of original leather items made with high-quality leather materials.
“Plane-nume” series using minimally-treated leather with a smooth feeling.
Green bean to bar CHOCOLATE
Initial sales of the “TOKYO” flavor, which is only available at shops in Tokyo (Nakameburo main branch, Nihombashi branch)
Cute-shaped eclairs with a thin sheet of chocolate inside should look great on SNS.
Gino Sorbillo Artista Pizza Napoletana
The famous pizzeria which has been in business for more than 80 years in Napoli established the first branch in Japan.
Dashi-inari Kaiboku
The popular dashi-inari (brown bag sushi) dish at “Kaiboku,” a Japanese restaurant in Fukuoka.
If you bite into it, the dashi soup comes out. The sophisticated taste is somewhat nostalgic.
A red curtain with a fox face is a landmark to find this restaurant.
Agezuki
A famous tonkatsu pork cutlet restaurant serving tonkatsu made with “Minaminoshima Pork,” a brand pork of limited availability. Tonkatsu sandwiches are very hearty. Enjoy them with home-made original lemonade.
・TABLES steam hot pot
You can enjoy satsuma-age (deep-fried fish cakes) from “Kyujiki,” a famous restaurant in Kagoshima and “Steam hot pot,” a popular dish in Hong Kong.
・ISHIYA NIHONBASHI
The first café branch of ISHIYA outside Hokkaido came to Muromachi Terrace.
“Shime-parfait,” a parfait eaten at the end of a drinking session or meal, which is popular in Hokkaido, is available now in Tokyo!
“Parfait Nihon-shu,” which is available only in Nihombashi, is a parfait for adults to eat cotton candy by melting it with sake.
When you pour “Junmai Daiginjo (Kamikawa Taisetsu Brewery)” from Hokkaido over the cotton candy…
The cotton candy is melting…
The sweetness of the cotton candy and the rich aroma of sake create a perfect harmony!
You can enjoy more changes in taste with this parfait.
Add the matcha pudding and brown sugar syrup which came with the parfait on the side.
A slight bitterness and sweetness are added.
You can enjoy several different changes in taste!!
Junmai Daiginjo (Kamikawa Taisetsu Brewery)
Next, we ordered fluffy pancakes with cream cheese and fresh cream in the dough.
The combination of the condensed milk and cranberry sauce is the key.
You can enjoy not only the taste but also… Take a look at the photos below!
The pancakes are in the frame…
When you remove the frame…
Pong!
The fluffy runny cream is oozing out! It looks gorgeous!
Columns in the building
The columns in COREDO Muromachi Terrace is decorated with dark-blue tiles with Japan’s traditional patterns, such as yabane (arrow feathers), shippo (overlapping several circles), and seigaiha (waves), creating a Japanesque atmosphere.
Go down to the 1st basement floor by taking an escalator with a drawing of a mixture of people from the Edo Period and modern times.
The 1st basement floor is a restaurant zone with 9 unique tenants, which is directly connected with Mitsukoshimae Sta. on the Metro Lines and Shin-Nihombashi Sta. on the JR Line.
Directly connected to the stations.
Custom Salad Shop
CRISP SALAD WORKS
Customize your own salad with about 30 topping options.
You can watch a worker wildly chopping vegetables with a large cutting knife.
Enjoy with a home-made lemonade with the right amount of sourness.
There are so many more attractive shops and stores at COREDO Muromachi Terrace.
Visit the Nihombashi Area which is increasingly bustling and exciting to have fun!
