An attractive all-inclusive system at “GLAMP ELEMENT,” a glamping facility in Shiga Prefecture
Located about one and a half hours by train from Osaka Station, “GLAMP ELEMENT” is a glamping facility in Maibara City, Shiga Prefecture, surrounded by abundant nature. The biggest sales point of this facility is that it has an “all-inclusive system” in place, where all the fees for various activities as well as food and drink are included in the bill you pay at the time of reservation.
I stayed at this facility and will here introduce how to enjoy your trip using the all-inclusive system in this article.
Upon arriving at the facility at 3 pm, I am taken by a staff member to the tent I reserved and checked in at the table next to the tent.
There are five kinds of guest accommodations available for different purposes, including dome-type tents and villa-type buildings. I stayed in a lotus tent with a cute shape like an onion.
In order to let the guests enjoy an out-or-the-ordinary experience, there is no clock or TV. I felt that I was going to have a wonderful time!
First of all, take a few minutes to relax at the cafe lounge. You can enjoy soft drinks, coffee, soft-serve ice cream, and other refreshments for free.
I went outside while it was still bright to stroll around the facility. The tennis courts next to the parking are also available for free.
Then, I tried canoeing, one of the featured activities here! Each guestroom has a tandem canoe, which is stable, so I could enjoy it even though I was a beginner.
It was getting dark and it was time for supper. Everything from preparation to clean-up can be taken care of by the staff. Many beautiful outdoor dishes pleased my eyes as well as my palate!
After supper, I went to Green Park Santo “Kamoikeso” and took a bath in Bihada no Yu, or “bath for beautiful skin,” to relax and recover from tiredness at the end of the day.
GLAMP ELEMENT is also equipped with shower rooms that are available 24 hours a day.
After relaxing in the bath, I went to “Elemental Bar” of GLAMP ELEMENT. At this bar lounge, more than 120 kinds of drinks are available for free! It is unbelievable but true. (It is basically an all-you-can-drink system, but you have to finish your glass before ordering the next one.)
I had a glass of Pina Colada, which put me completely into a resort mood.
I went back to my tent while enjoying the fantastic night view and went to bed.
The next morning, I enjoyed the crisp morning air and felt really refreshed. Then, it was time for breakfast. You can choose Japanese or Western breakfast at the time of reservation.
After breakfast, I walked around the facility, took a break at the cafe, and checked out at 11 am.
There are many other activities and services available as part of the all-inclusive system, including minigolf and a minibar. Without worrying about additional fees, I could really enjoy the resort during my luxurious stay.
Access: 5 min. by car from JR Omi-nagaoka Sta. (pickup and drop-off service available)
