When speaking of Niseko, Hokkaido, it is often noted as a good place for skiing and snowboarding. Located in one of the heaviest snow falling areas in Hokkaido, its powder snow is world famous. Niseko is also home to many hot springs. After skiing and enjoying the fresh air and panoramic views, nice hot springs await you.
Niseko Konbu Onsen, the largest hot spring resort in Niseko, is situated along a mountain stream. Lush greenery in spring and colored leaves in autumn are well worth seeing. Niseko Higashiyama Onsen is at the foot of ski areas and Niseko Ekimae Onsen is conveniently near the station. Niseko Goshiki Onsen has five kinds of water and said to be good for health. Experiencing the unique muddy water bath of Niseko Yumoto Onsen could be an interesting adventure. In addition, Niseko Town and Rankoshi Town that spread along the base of Mt. Yotei are dotted with scores of hot springs each with different waters and atmospheres, such as Annupuri, Hirafu, Kutchan, Hanazono, Konbugawa, Yakushi, and Weiss – which is why some people call Niseko a “Hot Spring Paradise.”
“Niseko Yumeguri Pass,” or a touring pass for hot springs in Niseko, is sold at 1,400 yen. With this pass, you can soak in three hot springs from among 16 bath facilities in the area (or one bath three times is also an option). If you want to fully enjoy hot springs, use the convenient and money-saving pass! In Niseko, golfing, canoeing, rafting, and hot-air balloons are enjoyable in summer as well as snow activities in winter. Refresh your body and mind through sporting during the daytime and hot springs in the evening in the highland resort!
