Despite being in central Tokyo, Shinagawa City is a place where you can feel the cool breezes from many waterfronts. Although well-known as a business district, the area actually also contains many warm and friendly shopping streets and stores. Here, we look at a café where you can savor unique chilled sweets. Next time, as you stroll through the neighbourhood, or have a few spare moments between train transfers, drop in and cool off!

HAIMURU Coffee Shop
Icy Sweets for Summer
Plenty of seasonal fruits are used to make these fluffy snow cones. Everything, from the standard Strawberry Milk shaved ice, to the Princess Snow Cone, where slight carbonation is used in a sparkling “espuma” sauce, topped with honey infused cream cheese.
Also served to rave reviews are the Ume Shiso Ramen which combines both chicken broth and dashi for a double soup base, as well as the arrangement of ripe tomatoes in the thick, rich Tomato Ramen.
