  After opening the port in 1868, various items were imported into Kobe. In 1869, the first boulangerie of Kobe opened in the foreign settlement area in Kobe, and since then many boulangeries have opened in Kobe and continue to do so today.


Developing several shops, mainly in the Sannomiya district. "Red-bean bread," which is a mixture of red beans and whipped cream-mixed dough, is very popular.

Sweets & bakery directly operated by Kobe's luxury hotel "HOTEL LA SUITE KOBE HARBORLAND." Elegant and seasonal breads using local ingredients and sweets made by chefs of the hotel are sold.
