While public transportation is available, driving is the most convenient way to visit these hot springs. For travelers planning to explore Tamatsukuri Onsen, Yunotsu Onsen, and Mimata Onsen in one trip, renting a car is recommended.

Highways, including some toll-free expressways, connect Matsue City, home to Tamatsukuri Onsen, and Izumo Taisha to the western part of Shimane, where Yunotsu and Mimata Onsen are located. Route 9, a major road that traverses the prefecture, offers stunning views of the Sea of Japan, with plenty of scenic spots along the way.

Shimane boasts other onsen with skin-beautifying waters, such as Yunokawa Onsen and Arifuku Onsen.
