This year’s theme is “take spring home.” Unfortunately, the typical cherry blossom festivities can’t take place due to Covid-19, therefore this year’s event was planned around the idea of being able to enjoy cherry blossom viewing foods at home. Nearly 170 shops in the Nihonbashi area will be offering takeaway food, providing a new way to enjoy viewing the cherry blossoms.
There is a wide variety of colorful sakura-themed foods to choose from as well as limited time spring sweets, takeaway food, and finger food! This year’s featured item is the strawberry and sakura matcha (green powdered tea) éclair which is available at Sembikiya Sohonten Nihonbashi Honten (Main Store) (\702, consumption tax included).

In addition to sweets, you can also take home course meals prepared by famous restaurants!
Twenty-four of Nihonbashi’s famous restaurants have come together to serve Nihonbashi Utage Zutsumi, a popular New Year’s holiday delicacy reimagined with a cherry blossom theme.
Get into the festive spring mood at home with the luxurious taste of this take-home meal.
There are plenty of other limited time, spring-edition menu items!
Some of the high-rise buildings and important cultural assets along Chuo-dori St. as well as one of Nihonbashi’s most famous sakura locations, Edo Sakura-dori St., will be lit up with sakura-colored lights during the evenings!
Even though a large number of people were not able to participate in this year’s event, we hope visitors will be able come to Tokyo next year and personally experience the dreaminess of Sakura Fes Nihonbashi!
