The wildly popular Case Closed (“Case Closed” is the English rendering of Meitantei Conan series) leapt onto the world stage first as a manga in 1994, then as an anime in 1996. As popular as ever today, the 26th major motion picture, Detective Conan: Black Iron Submarine, is scheduled to hit the big screen from April 14 this year. Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory
This museum is in Tottori Prefecture’s Hokuei Town, the hometown of Case Closed’s author Gosho Aoyama. As though solving a mystery, find out about his upbringing, where he worked, and the charm of his stories. Conan is everywhere in this town from statues to illustrated manhole covers, in addition to the street named Conan-dori Street leading from the nearest station, JR Yura Station, to this museum.
