TV anime Rurouni Kenshin

This new TV anime series is now scheduled to be broadcast on Fuji TV’s noitaminA anime program and elsewhere in 2023. Rurouni Kenshin was first serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1994, and Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story – Hokkaido Arc, is currently serialized in the monthly magazine Jump SQ. The story centers around the legendary swordsman Himura Kenshin, who, by the end of the Tokugawa shogunate, was infamous as “Hitokiri Battosai” or the “Sword Wielding Killer.” However, he makes a “vow not to kill” and along with his companions starts to help others using his “reverse blade sword” that cannot kill people.
Fan expectations are high for this anime work which retells the original story from the first chapter but with a new production team and cast, all created with the latest anime technology.

Movie The Imaginary

Six years after their smash hit in over 150 countries worldwide, Mary and the Witch’s Flower, Studio Ponoc is releasing a moving work of fantasy, based on the children’s novel by A.F. Harrold, The Imaginary, winner of the British Literary Society Award.
The director, Yoshiyuki Momose, brings his experience from many Studio Ghibli works, including Spirited Away and The Tale of the Princess Kaguya. Set in a world where people’s imaginations are eaten up, the film depicts an “invisible battle” where the future and destiny of loved ones are at stake. Set for release winter 2023.
