Murohigashi

Located right outside the north exit of Kaihimmakuhari Station, this izakaya has an eye-catching exterior with chochin lanterns, which characterize Japanese izakaya. The pub offers a variety of popular izakaya dishes, such as yakitori grilled chicken skewers, kushiyaki grilled skewers, nabe hot pot, and stewed beef with tofu, which are all low-priced but quite delicious. Among others, “Ohtsukune,” a big chicken meatball on a skewer made with chicken about 3 times the amount of regular yakitori, is the signature menu. The meatball is juicy inside and nicely crispy outside with a charcoal roast flavor, creating an irresistible dish.
